Is it just me, or do The Hunger Games books seem kind of … un-American. I know they’re technically set in America but I re-read The Hunger Games and Catching Fire and I just started Mockingjay, and there are just little things that seem un-American. Like the fact that Katniss never says “mom” (or “mum”, for that matter), but always says “my mother”....
